Summary Activity Description

USAID/Mexico’s Environment Program Objective is: Improved management and conservation of natural resources in targeted watersheds.  This new program will focus on conservation of critical natural resources and biodiversity, with an emphasis on natural resource management in a watershed context to increase community level participation and to improve the linkages between conservation and economic opportunities in rural areas.  The emphasis on watershed management will help better coordinate forest and conservation area management, fire suppression and prevention, and capacity building activities under this program with our clean production and renewable energy program (covered by a separate Environmental Threshold).
